Leonardo’s Helicopter

These are a Leonardo's helicopter model, a modified helicopter model, and a launch pad tower. These are the supplements to "Otona no Kagaku Magazine Vol. 12".

Otona no Kagaku Magazine is a series of adult science education magazine published by Gakken. This series is published up to Vol. 12. This series is not only entertaining but also educational.

Leonardo's helicopter, made with an inefficient helical screw instead of rotor blades. And his design does not appreciate the concept of torque-reaction. The modified model equiped twin coaxial rotor blades. Twin rotors which turn in opposite directions, so that the torques from each rotor cancel each other out. Leonardo's helicopter model showed that the craft could not create enough lift to fly. Modifed Leonardo's helicopter model successfuly is able to fly powerfully.

So I was impressed to see the helicopter flying up, I would like to purchase back numbers of Otona no Kagaku Magazine.
